Mr & Mrs. Benefield. I am Judy White Pressley, Fred and Emma's daughter. For several years Mom told me your daughter worked at Gaither High School. I've been trying to figure out who your daughter was for quite awhile now because I worked at Gaither also. We worked together many years ago. I was involved with PTSA around 1989-91 and worked there 1991-92 and 1999-2009. I remember she left and went to another school at some point but her stained glass creations remained.

I wish we had known of the connection before now. My condolences to the family.

Mom and I want to see you soon. Mom will call and try to work out a time to visit.

Teresa had an unmatched energy to not only create art, but to inspire generations of students to find their own artistic souls. This energy spilled over into her relationships with family, fellow teachers and friends. Sh had a vibrant, caring personality that will be missed by many people for a long time to come. Heaven will be shining brighter with Teresa there.

I am proud to have been Teresa’s friend for several decades. She was a gifted educator, beloved by her students, faculty and friends, at Gaither, Chamberlain and finally, Blake High Schools. I was in awe of her creative passion in pottery, jewelry, stained glass, and other artistic pursuits. I remember when Dale came into her world and how in love she was. My husband Charley and I, with friends, Neil and Patty, spent years laughing over the dining table together.
While the memories of the good days are strong, it was painful to know the pain she went through during recent months. Teresa had strength and tenacity and was always positive and hopeful that she could beat cancer.
I bet she is helping the angels create a marvelous mural right now.

Dear Dale, Mr. & Mrs. Benefield & Carol,

We are just heart broken for your loss. Teresa was such an amazing person, talented artist and wonderful friend. We met way back in 1974 and became fast friends. Over the years anytime we had the opportunity to get together it was just like old times. We will always cherish our friendship with Teresa and she will never be forgotten. The photograph we added to her photos is of a stained glass piece she made for us in 1983. We shared a love of African Violets.
