Sunanda Pangarkar's Obituary
It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Sunanda Pangarkar on April 20, 2022. Affectionately known as “Nan” by her friends, and “Nanda!” by her husband, she was in her 77th year of life. Born in Shahpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. She married Dr. Sharad Pangarkar, a pediatrician from Paratwada, Maharashtra on February 28, 1967.
She was the proud mother of Sandeep, Sona, and Sanjog Pangarkar and even prouder grandmother of Ehan, Hans, Evan, Annika, Arjun, and Arya. Sunanda was predeceased by her devoted husband Sharad and lived an incredible life on three continents, serving as a mother, homemaker, day-care center owner, and real estate investor. She held a master’s degree in Sanskrit and philosophy which placed her on a spiritual path early in life.
She loved to tell stories, travel, and spend time with her family. She was a devout Hindu who devoted much of her time to her Guru, religious study and prayer. Most of all, she loved her family and instilled strong values in her children that served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. A celebration of Sunanda’s life will be held at the Trinity Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, Trinity, Florida on April 30, 2022.
