Roger Jeremy Drysdale, 61, of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, passed away surrounded by family on September 8th, 2021.
He was born to parents Frank and Jeanne Drysdale, on April 27th, 1960, in New York, New York. Roger graduated from The High School Of Art And Design in 1978 and from St Francis College with a Bachelors’s degree in aviation management in 1986. Roger was a Social Studies teacher for elementary and middle school from 1987 to 1991 and spent the rest of his life working in the aviation industry as a flight dispatcher.
Roger leaves behind his beloved wife, Denise Drysdale, along with his three children, Terrence Drysdale, Lauren Drysdale, and Briana Drysdale. He is survived by his siblings, David Drysdale, Susan Graves, and Andrew Drysdale. Roger also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Kristopher, Aaron, Jennifer, Jessica, and Avery. Roger was predeceased by his parents Frank and Jeanne Drysdale.
Roger was an avid artist, creating “to-scale” model airports that he designed, drawing detailed sketches on his drawing pad, and bringing to life his work through computer renderings. He had a love for music, particularly jazz, and excelled at playing the drums. Roger was the “go-to” person for all things weather and aviation and loved sharing his passion with friends and family. He enjoyed spending time with his family, long talks with his wife Denise, talking sports and current events with his children, discussing architecture, visiting the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, collecting model airplanes, visiting hobby shops, watching paranormal television shows, and keeping busy doing work around the house.
