Richard O Davila's Obituary
It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our beloved Father, Richard Ocasio Davila. He passed away on Sunday January 21st surrounded by his family and loved ones after a sudden battle with cancer. Richard was only 64 years old.
Richard was a proud, loyal and loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed the simple things in life and being surrounded by his family and those he cared for which he dedicated his life to. A widower, he was married to our mother, Gloria Davila, and the love of his life of 42 years married until her unfortunate passing in 2020. He remained loyal to his late wife and our mother to the very end. He was a tremendous father that held his kids in high regards and supported us through all our life’s triumphs and tribulations. He was a tremendous Grandfather and shepherd to 9 grandchildren who he love immensely and enjoyed spending every waking moment with them. He was a family patriarch in his own right, supportive and loving brother to his remaining sisters and cousins. An extremely loyal friend and confidant to all who sought his friendship and council.
Richard leaves behind a tremendous legacy and is survived by his loving family. Starting with his eldest daughter Marlena Davila and husband Alberto Colon, Richard Anthony and wife Vivian Davila, Jason and his wife Lizandra Davila, and youngest daughter Melissa and Heber Borras. His loving grandchildren with his eldest Jaysun Davila, Xiomara Destiny Davila, Isaac Davila, Jonah Davila, Alyna Bishop, Johan Davila and Amani Davila. His step grandchildren Miguel Guzman and Amanda Reyes. He is also survived by his supporting and courageous sisters starting with Elizabeth Medina, Julie Vera, Nicy Davila and step sister Sylvia Bautista.
My father’s love, steadfast character and incredible loyalty to his family will remain embedded in us all and he will be deeply missed by his family and all he touched in his life.
We love you Papi,
Marlena, Anthony, Jason and Melissa.
