Raymond Dean Woolever's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce that after a courageous and tireless battle, Raymond Dean Woolever, 71, of Spring Hill, Florida has gone home to be with our Lord on November 15, 2025. He was surrounded by family members and dear friends. For over a year, he fought through critical health issues with remarkable courage and grace. Though his health declined, his spirit never wavered, and he remained a source of love and inspiration to all who knew them. His suffering has now ended, and he is at peace.
Raymond was born in Logansport, Indiana on January 11, 1954 and was one of six siblings. He was the son of the late Raymond Dale Woolever, and surviving mother, Rena Lou Woolever. His brothers and sisters include Jenny (deceased), Julie (deceased), June (surviving), Russell (surviving), and Robert (surviving).
Raymond was a man of integrity and great faith, known for his quick wit and kind heart. He was exceptionally benevolent, impacting so very many in a positive way. He was called “father”, “brother” and “grandpa” by so many lives he touched.
He loved the outdoors, specifically hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a long-time member and Elder of Brooksville Christian Church in Brooksville, Florida.
Raymond began a legacy in 1989, when he and his wife Susan, founded Lar-Rays Excavating in Hernando County. In 1992, the company expanded its service offering and rebranded as L.R.E. Ground Services, Inc., becoming a pioneer in ground stabilization and the largest sinkhole repair company in the state of Florida.
He was a devoted husband to his beautiful wife, Susan Larke Woolever. They reconnected at their 10 year class reunion at Dunedin High School, and celebrated 42 years together in April.
He is also survived by his two twin daughters, Rosemary and Rachel, and son-in-law Frank Vitale. He was more than just a father and husband—he shaped the family we are today, and his absence leaves a space in our hearts that can never be filled. He will be profoundly missed. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will forever guide us, and his love will continue to surround us in everything we do.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Trinity Memorial Garden Funeral Home, 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity FL 34655. Visitation will begin at 10:00am, with memorial service starting at 11:00am and reception to immediately follow at 12:00PM-3:00PM.
