Petra Guadalupe Torres' Obituary
Petra Milagros Guadalupe Torres, 80, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Noche Buena (Christmas Eve), 2025, surrounded by love.
Born in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, Petra carried her roots with pride throughout her life. She was a woman of strength and deep resilience—someone who faced life head-on, kept moving forward, and became an example to everyone around her.
Petra loved people and had a gift for helping others in any way she could. She also loved music the kind that turns into dance parties, laughter, and unforgettable moments with the people she adored.
More than anything, Petra gave love in the way she knew best: through food. She had a special magic in the kitchen, and her cooking brought everyone to the table again and again. Her meals were comfort, joy, tradition, and care all in one. For Petra, feeding her family wasn’t just cooking it was her love language, and it was the way to all our hearts.
Petra was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Lola, whom she missed deeply and carried in her heart always.
Petra is survived by her children, Wanda Coriano and Ramon Coriano; her daughter-in-law, Karina Coriano; and her beloved granddaughters, Talisa Coriano and Elyana Coriano.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no service.
Her family invites those who loved Petra to honor her memory in a simple way: play a song she would’ve loved, share a meal with someone you care about, and pass along kindness just as she always did.
