Patricia Ann Roberts Monroe
1934-2021
Patricia Ann Monroe passed December 2, 2021 at her home at Trinity, Florida. Born June 25, 1934 in Des Moines Iowa, she was the daughter of Kenneth Clarence Roberts and Grace Evelyn Fudge. She married Donald Dee Monroe on August 16, 1954 in Colfax, Iowa. Both music teachers, they shared their love for music and musical education in Iowa and New York. Her husband passed in June 20, 1998 after a 54 year marriage. Surviving her are a son Douglas Jerome Monroe and wife Rhea of Whitewater, CO and daughter Dawn Maria Monroe of Trinity, FL, two grandchildren, Brian and Melissa, and four great grandchildren. She was a companion of Parks Honeywell of Trinity, FL.
Pat Monroe was a member of the Hope U.M.C. in Trinity, FL and past regent of the Caladesi Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Dunedin, FL. Her hobbies were genealogy and tatted lace.
Pat graduated from Drake University with a Batchelor of Education degree and a master of science degree from Columbia University. She authored several books on family genealogy and tatted lace.
