Morris Hintzman's Obituary
Rev. Morris E. Hintzman passed away on September 1, 2024, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. His final years were marked by grace and strength, inspiring many with his unwavering faith and compassionate spirit.
Born on November 25, 1941, in Menomonie, Wisconsin, Morris was the fourth of eight children of Leo and Elizabeth Hintzman. He was a devoted husband, father, and a dedicated servant of the Lord, leading by example with humility and integrity.
Morris made a lasting impact in the Tampa Bay community as the President of Metropolitan Ministries, where he served from 1982. His visionary leadership transformed the organization, expanding its services to provide comprehensive care to struggling and homeless families.
Morris is survived by his wife of 57 years, Paula Ragsdale Hintzman; their children, Thomas of Leesburg, FL, and Sheryl of Holiday, FL; daughters-in-law, Stephanie Berryman Hintzman and Elizabeth Wozniak; brothers, Earl (Lucille), Larry (Arlyss), David (Julie - dec), Harvey (Bobette - dec) and Howard (Julie); one sister, Carol Brazzale (Mark); and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ned (Beverly), and his sister, Carol Welk (Raymond) . Morris’s legacy of faith and service will continue to inspire all who knew him.
