I was on the committee of four who had the great privilege of hiring Morris as director of Metropolitan Ministries when he had just moved to Tampa. MM was a small ministery with a good line to those in need and a house that accommodated families needing shelter. It was founded on faith and prayer and Morris built on that foundation and made it into what it is today ….a refuge of love and care that is now a signature of Tampa and inspires other cities to reach out and care big about those who need that care and support! I am so honored and humble to have known such a man . I pray that God will bless all of his family now with the wonderful memories and the example that he has been to a city ! Morris was the kin of person who you would never forget. He was endlessly kind, selfless and caring. I know this loss is hard on many of us but I also know Morris would not want us to sit around mourning him and instead look to the future to make this world a better place. In his memory Let's do it!
