Max Adams Nelson's Obituary
Max passed away on December 31, 2025. His death was the result of suicide.
Max was a deeply sensitive and loving soul who viewed the world with great intensity. At the age of 26, he left this world, leaving behind a love that will never fade. Forever loved. Forever missed.
Max was known for his creativity, curiosity, and love for others. He cared deeply about people and the struggles they faced. He was gentle, peace-seeking, and kind-hearted. A light that mattered in a world that desperately needed it. He longed to be accepted and understood as his authentic self. When he loved, it was sincere and enduring. He had a tender, honest soul with a loving heart.
Max found joy in gaming, video games, painting, and deep thinking. He enjoyed spending time with his late dog Daisy and the family dog, Koko. He loved the cold weather and the beauty of nature, especially the mountains.
Max is survived by his mother, Victoria Nelson, and his father, Daniel Nelson; his siblings, Marisa Howard, Aaron Nelson, and half-brother Anthony Nelson; his grandmother, Ellen Savoldy and grandfather, Louis Savoldy; his uncle Louis, aunt Carolyn, and cousins Scott and Lark. He was a proud uncle of three beautiful nieces: Gracie, Amelia, and Evelyn.
Though his life ended far too soon, Max will be remembered for the love he gave and the moments he shared. In his memory, the family encourages anyone who is struggling or feeling overwhelmed to reach out for help. If you or someone you love is in crisis, support is available through the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.
The Vincent House, whose mission is to provide hope, dignity, and support to those facing mental health struggles, brought joy and purpose to Max. He enjoyed socializing with his new friends and working with the staff, especially the time he spent in their kitchen. It would mean a lot to Max and his family if you could support this beautiful cause and make a difference in others like him.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Vincent House in Hudson, Florida.
