Marlene Ann Slavkin's Obituary
Marlene Ann Slavkin (81) went home to be with the Lord on June 30, 2024.
Marlene was born on August 9,1943 in Acmetonia, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Springdale high school in 1961.
She was proceeded in death by her parents William Robertson Sr. & Marie Full, her brother William Robertson Jr., grandmother Lena Sigmund, and husband Milton Slavkin.
Marlene was a light in the lives of her children, grandchildren, friends, and neighbors. She led as an example of Christ daily showing, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23)
Marlene dedicated her life to raising and caring for her three daughters, Christine Watson-Shikapuri (Roshan) of Palm Harbor, FL, Melissa Vasilakos (Nicholas) of New Port Richey, FL and Mischelle McCormick of Old Orchard Beach, ME. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Rita & Ryan Shikapuri, and Natalie & Rachel Vasilakos, and lifelong friend Donna Bielefelt all whom she dearly loved.
She was a long-term member of First Baptist Church of New Port Richey and more recently enjoyed services at Sunshine Christian Chapel. Marlene had a deep adoration for Gods natural world and loved planting flowers and gardening. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and in her free time enjoyed sewing, baking, praying, and reading her Bible.
All will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
Visitation and viewing will begin at 10:00am on Sunday July 7th. Followed by a funeral service at 11:00am and burial at 12:00pm.
