Admittedly I didn't know Logan as much as a lot of other people did, but I still thought of him as a friend. I'd see him in the halls and in class a lot and there was always fun banter like I would take his seat in class when he'd show up late just to mess with him. It was always in good fun and he would pretend to make a fuss about it. There definitely were few like him. I remember one interaction I had with him a while back, I was getting absolutely destroyed by a cold and on top of that I found out my girlfriend at the time had cheated on me. I got out of my dorm and went to the nest at Poly to get some medicine and a drink. I ended up running into Logan and talked with him for a bit about what was going on.
"Hey Logan, how you doing?"
"I'm good bro what's up?"
"Could be better, throats killing me and my girl cheated on me"
"So why did you just get a lemonade bruh?"
I found it funny that my drink preference is what he decided to focus on out of all that and it was probably the first time that whole week I laughed at something. To be able to do something like that even though he didn't know me the most was a gift that no one else I know possesses. While it wasn't the most profound interaction it definitely speaks to his ability to light up a room and his unmatched sense of humor. It was really moving hearing everyone's similar experiences with him and I'm lucky to have known him even as briefly as I did.

I met Logan when I started college. I didn't have any friends as I was moving to a completely new school in a city I've never lived in. In an effort to meet new people I went to an intramural soccer scrimmage and logan and I were on the same team. We ended up playing on the same team during that semester. When I showed the smallest interest in goalkeeping he told me that he could teach me. I can't count the number of times that he and I went out to the field and he taught me everything he knew about goalkeeping. Once I came back for the spring semester of 2023, Logan and I were in a coding class together. Every single day after that class we ate lunch together at the dining hall and talked about so many different things. I struggled so much with that class since I was fairly new to coding, but whenever he saw me struggling in class he would help me and ten make me explain back to him why my code was so wildly incorrect. He was one of the funniest people I've ever met and was always so positive. I remember fondly all the times him and I got a coffee from the Starbucks on campus. He told me that he worked at the Starbucks by school and that I should stop by sometime to say hi. It seems like one of those things that people say just to be nice but Logan actually meant it. I remember pulling up to the drive through and hearing Logan's "work" voice. "Hey what can I get you today?" I said "hey Logan" and then he said the thing he said every time I saw him "YOOOOO ALEX WHAT'S UP BRO?!" Logan loved coffee and bought a coffee machine which he brought with him to school last semester. He was so excited and made me come up to his dorm for him to make me a coffee. I wish I could have another latte and talk to you again. He had so many interests and somehow nearly all of our interests aligned. He liked coding, I was bad at coding so he helped me. We both loved soccer and goalkeeping. I once brought up F1 and he talked about F1 for a full hour, referencing drivers and F1 teams I had never even heard of. He also loved bowling and would always ask me "yo alex when are we going bowling", we never went bowling and I'll always regret that. During our lunch after class he talked about bowling balls and how the shape of their core affects the way the ball will roll. I had no idea what he was talking about, but it just shows how passionate Logan was about the things he loved. Though I only knew Logan for a year, he was a great friend, teacher, and source of humor when you needed it the most. There is never going to be another Logan, but if everyone had even a fraction of his humor, positivity, drive, and kindness, the world would be pretty close to perfect. Thank you for everything you've done for me Logan, I'm going to miss you so much dude. Love you brother.

As the days continue to pass I hope you find comfort and support in the people that surround you and the wonderful memories you carry in your mind and heart. Quinn, Ann, and Stacy I am so sorry that your beloved Logan was taken away so soon. As you know Logan was a special person who brought fun and laughter to everyone. I will always picture him with that smile and twinkle in his eyes and remember him as one of my favorite students.

You call the people who matter to you family and even though we were not blood related you absolutely were part of our family. We didn't know you a long time but we will never forget you.
