Krishnakumar Kashinath Pradhan (1936-2026)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shri Krishnakumar Pradhan (lovingly also called Kumar by his elders and Bhai by his peers and those younger to him), who embarked on his heavenly journey on January 21, 2026, at the age of 89.
Bhai was born on September 1, 1936 in Shrivardhan, Maharashtra, India, to Shri Kashinath and Sau Parvati (Kelshikar) Pradhan.
Bhai was a dedicated husband to Sau. Shubhada, his beloved wife of 61 years, and a devoted father to Sandeep, Sachin and Sangeeta. He was also a caring father-in-law to Anuja, Monica, and Aniruddha and a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, Shikhar, Anshool, Ameya, Avani, Aakash, and Amruta.
Bhai’s life and journey from his birth-place, Shrivardhan, which he continued to be deeply rooted to, to his final days in Tarpon Springs, Florida, USA is both awe-inspiring and exemplary. Bhai was an exceptional human being who built an inspiring life and career that stands as a testament to his tenacity, diligence and vision. He demonstrated his adroitness in various vocations throughout his career, first moonlighting in the construction industry as a day job and working as a door-to-door packaged foods salesman at night, then working in the manufacturing industry as a supply chain / inventory manager in Pune, India, taking this expertise to the shipping industry in Saudi Arabia and finally coming out of retirement to reinvent himself and round his career off in the retail pharmacy industry in Charlotte, North Carolina.
At each juncture in his remarkable life and career, he led a simple, frugal and un-complicated life. Yet, he elevated and enriched the lives of people around him and generously shared and supported anyone who reached out to him. In this way, he truly embodied and lived the true meaning of “Bhai”! Bhai’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends will never be forgotten.
A funeral service will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 12609 Memorial Dr, Trinity, FL 34655 on January 25, 2026, at 2.00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your preferred charity, in Bhai’s memory.
