Judy S Brooks' Obituary
Judy Skrmetta Brooks went home to Jesus peacefully with her children and husband by her side on the morning of November 11, 2023 in her home in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Judy is survived by her husband Bruce, and her children Ryan, Robyn with her husband John, Chrissy with her husband Burt, Stacy with her husband CJ, and Amy as well as her nine grandchildren Carson, Payton, Alise, Joey, Nicky, Landon, John Paul, Emmy, and Haddie. She is preceded in death by her father Nick, her mother Adele, and brother Nicky. She was born on July 30, 1949 in Bogalusa, Louisiana. She graduated from St. Francisville High School and went on to earn a master’s degree in social work from Louisiana State University. She devoted her life to serving others as a social worker first at the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola and then in the Pasco County school system after moving to Florida. She displayed a true servant’s heart, not only in her work, but also and most importantly, as a follower of Christ. Her life was centered around her belief in our Lord and Savior and guided her as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was completely devoted to loving her family and others. A visitation is scheduled for 11:00am on Friday, November 17, 2023, with a Chapel service to begin at 2 PM, at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Trinity, Florida. Pastor Frederic will officiate.
