I got to know Judy when she was the social worker at Lake Myrtle Elementary. Judy really cared about the people she worked with and the students. She has a big heart and always saw the good in people. Never, ever did I hear her say anything unkind. She is truly a remarkable lady. May the wonderful memories of life well lived grant you comfort in the times of sadness.
I was privileged to work with Judy as a school social worker in Pasco Schools. She was one of the most cheerful, encouraging people I have known. She also had a great sense of humor and would share humorous stories about her adventures working in the public schools as well as in the prison system. I will always remember her as being in charge of our Sunshine committee (a job that she did solo but 5 people share now). I can't remember ever attending a social work meeting at which there wasn't a cake she brought to recognize her colleagues who had a birthday, accomplishment, child, grandchild, marriage etc. She would also recognize those of us going through hardships. I remember many years ago when she gave me a peace lily plant after I got out of the hospital. I thanked her but told her that plants are not good for me since I can't keep them alive. That plant is still thriving in my kitchen and I always think of Judy when I see it.
I am so grateful to have had the chance to work with Judy at both Oakstead and Bexley Elementary. She truly was an angel on earth and positively touched the lives of everyone she met. It was impossible to feel unhappy around her. She always had a smile on her face and was so caring. She loved talking about her family and the pride she had in being a grandma was so beautiful to see. She will be missed by all. Love you, Judy.
Judy and I were on the student services team together at Oakstead Elementary. Her kind and caring ways made her a natural at helping students and their families. She made the world a better place. She always spoke so highly of her family and the love she had for them. Her legacy will live on in her relationships and the love she shared.
I am so very sorry for your loss. I'm a friend of Stacy's and when I met Judy, I saw the love she had for Stacy's daughters and that is a wonderful memory, the girls just lit up when she walked in the room.
