Joseph Blumberg's Obituary
Joseph T. Blumberg, Sr., 90, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on July 12, 1935, in Paterson, NJ, Joseph lived a life defined by kindness, integrity, and unwavering devotion to his family. He was the heart of his family - steady, generous, and always with a warm smile or one of his famous one-line jokes that could light up any room with a laugh. He was happiest in the kitchen, where he loved to cook for people he cared about. His meals and desserts, like his humor, brought comfort, laughter, and togetherness.
Joseph leaves behind his loving wife, Rosemary Cantone Blumberg; his children, Joseph T. Blumberg, Jr. (Anna Metzger) and Teresa A. Blumberg (Frank J. Sharkowicz III); his brother Harold (Mickey) J. Blumberg; his nephews Michael J. Blumberg (Denise) and Steven R. Blumberg (CareyAnn); his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Thomas Cantone, Mary Cantone, and Donna Cantone; his nephews and nieces Thomas P. Cantone, Theresa Cantone (Chad), and Chelsea Cantone (Max); and his great-nephews and great-nieces Zachary Blumberg, Alexandra Blumberg, Andrew Blumberg, Tyler Blumberg, Anthony Barthol, and Gianna Barthol, who will forever cherish his guidance, his humor and the example he set every day. He was predeceased by his father Harold J. Blumberg, mother Josephine Siccardi Blumberg, father-in-law Salvatore Cantone, mother-in-law Theresa Cantone, brother-in-law Paul Cantone, and sister-in-law Antonia (Toni) Blumberg. His legacy lives on in every person whose life he touched.
