Joe was one of those people who just made the world feel lighter. He was kind, funny, and friendly to everyone around him. You could always count on him for a smile, a quick laugh, or a good conversation that brightened up your day. He had a way of bringing everyone together and making the neighborhood feel like one big happy family. It’s hard to imagine not seeing him around, but we are so thankful for all the memories and the joy he shared with us.

A friendship that lasts over 60 years between two persons in s not only extraordinary but rare. Joe was not just my friend, he was and is my brother. We shared the turbulence of our young years growing up between Manhattan and the Bronx. We shared the grief of our lost ones and the joy of the birth of our children. We even shared summonses when we each got one for walking on the jetties at Orchard Beach one summer.
I can go on and on about our life growing up, but I’ll leave with this.
I will miss you my brother and I’ll think of you when I drive through our old neighborhood and think of the life we shared. Rest In Peace my brother.

Uncle Joe, Things I remember about you: riding with you in your little brown Duster as a kid, the house in Queens, the house on Watson Ave., DHL, and the sanitation department. As an adult I was always Thankful to you and Titi for allowing me to live with you in PA when I worked in Newark. I will definitely miss your wit and your straightforward style.
