It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Jeff Mathew, beloved husband, father, esteemed colleague, and dedicated vascular surgeon. He was a renowned vascular surgeon whose skilled hands and compassionate heart touched the lives of countless patients. Dr. Mathew peacefully departed this life on April 22, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, after a valiant battle with cancer.
Born on January 30, 1979 in Chicago, he embarked on a remarkable journey marked by academic excellence and unwavering commitment to the field of vascular surgery. After earning his medical degree from Creighton University and completing his residency at Harvard, he pursued advanced training in vascular surgery. His expertise, precision, and compassionate bedside manner earned him the admiration and gratitude of colleagues, patients, and medical professionals.
Dr. Mathew will be remembered not only for his medical prowess but also for his kindness, humility, and sense of humor. He had a profound impact on his colleagues, patients, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his loving family, including his devoted spouse, Lauren Mathew and his cherished daughter, Olive. He is also mourned by his loving parents, Joseph and Mary Mathew, and his sister Amy, colleagues, friends, and the countless patients whose lives he touched.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Dr. Mathew will be held on April 25, 2024 at Our Lady of Rosary at 1030am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Metavivor.com
