Bhupendra Patel
Our friendship goes back to 1971 through a mutual friend, Jyotindra Patel. It started when Jyoti took me to Jayanti and Usha's residence in Corona Par, Queens, New York when I had just arrived from Kenya to study in Manhattan. This friendship has endured to-date. Over these many years, countless memories have transpired, too many to list here. Since that day of our first meeting, Jayanti has always looked upon me as a younger brother and stood by me during both my fortunate and not so fortunate times. Usha has also always been fully supportive of our friendship and always respected me as a younger brother. Jayanti stands out amongst all my friends over time as the one with the highest willpower and relentless endurance to weather dozens of professional and personal challenges, some of enormous measure, through a strong sense of concern, empathy, and mindfulness for others. From my experience working with him as a subordinate at New York Life, I realized that he stood apart from the flock of traditional sell-and-runt life insurance professionals by putting his clients' interests and their realistic life needs as his number one priority, even at a personal loss at times.
KUDOs to my friend and coach, Jayanti Patel.
Rest in Peace.
