James Blandford's Obituary
James Alan Blandford, age 73, of Odessa, Florida, entered his final resting place on October 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
He spent his life serving others. In addition to his work as a public adjuster, he volunteered as a fireman for the Kenmore Fire Department and Egypt Fire Department, along with working as an EMT. He spent his free time coaching his children’s sports teams and helping neighbors. He was a volunteer for the rape crisis center and a volunteer firefighter for the Egypt Fire Department in addition to leading the explorers. Upon his move to Florida, he continued his work helping others by volunteering at a local hospice agency, volunteering for guardian ad litem, and helping others find a new home as a real estate agent.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diane (Christman); his children, Mark and Melissa Blandford; and his cherished grandchildren, Austin and Jordan Blandford, and Tyler Lemons. He leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, along with his brother, Joe Blandford (Maria). He is also survived by his sister in laws Carole and Sue.
He is pre-deceased by his mother and father, Eileen and Ray Blandford; his brother, Robert; his brother, Randy; and his sister, Gail.
