Shirley, John and the entire Newton family please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of one of the nicest men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
Truly a great Husband, Father and golfing buddy.
Rest well my friend.
Sincerely, Bill Kazakis
I had the great opportunity to enjoy many golf outings in Northern Michigan with Harold and his son, John. He was always enjoyable on those trips, had the best stories to tell and fit in so well with a bunch of John's friends that were at least half his age.
I'll always remember his story about winning the bets with his brother when throwing quarters from the passenger seat into the coin bin on the Florida Turnpike. The meals he won were far more expensive than the extra quarters he threw to make sure enough landed in the bin to pay the toll.
And I remember him thanking me for having a daughter named Rachel, as he really liked that name, and John and Amy were going to name their daughter Rachel as well.
Harold will be missed, but he lived a great life, and all those that had the good fortune of knowing him are better because they did.
My thought and prayers are with the family.
All the best,
Mark Borowski
