I met Heather in 1997 when I transferred to Florida. My first week in the office I couldn't help but notice this beautiful young woman with a smile larger than life. Heather had her hands full, she had her beautiful baby girl, Holly, with her. I approached and asked if I could give her a hand. From that moment on we bceame fast friends.
Heather told me where I could get the best slice of pizza in Pinellas County, the best Italian restaurant for a night out, and the best beach spots.
Over the years we attended Rays games, Bucs games, went to concerts, hung out at the Round Up, attended Chastco Fiesta, had countless pool parties, and celebrated many birthdays. Heather and Tom were the perfect combination, a pure innocent sweetness and a jokester. I didn't think it was possible for someone to have such a huge heart, but Heather's got larger when Julia arrived. Life happened and we drifted apart, but my feelings never changed and I'm so happy we re-connected. I wasn't surprised when I read Heather's final notes, my selfless friend did not let this terrible diesease bitter her.
I will truly miss my wonderful, brave, beautiful friend and feel so blessed to have known her. Tom, Heather Julia, Joyce, Howard, John and Judi, you are in my prayers.
Sincerely, Christine Brogan
