Gerald Farkas' Obituary
Gerald Farkas, 81, of Land O’Lakes, Florida, is in the house of the Father in heaven on October 11, 2024. He was born to parents Paul J. Farkas and Grace Elda Shingler Farkas on October 23, 1942, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, one of three siblings with sister Shirley and brother Eugene. After finishing school, he embarked on a career in law enforcement, serving as a detective with the 3rd District of the Metropolitan Police Department of Washington D.C. until his retirement in 1980. He married his wife Silvana on December 22, 1999, in Sevier County, Tennessee. A member of the First Baptist Church of Land O’Lakes, Gerald enjoyed practicing bible study, collecting recipes, and enjoying the birds. He will be remembered for his soul winning.
