Donna Leigh Geatches (Gigi), 89, passed into the light on February 3, 2020 in Lutz, FL. Born on June 16, 1930 in Five Forks, PA to the late Paul E & Luena H (Stymiest) Staley. She grew up in Baltimore, MD graduating from Kenwood H.S. After marrying her husband Bill in 1952, they moved to numerous places and she enjoyed the life of being an army wife. After Bills unexpected passing from leukemia in 1968 while living in Annapolis, MD she moved with her 4 children to West Point, NY, Orlando, FL, Rockwall, TX and finally settled in Falls Church, VA where she was employed for many years by Unisys Corp. Upon retiring in 1999 she moved to New Port Richey, FL to be close to daughter Debbie & her family. Here she enjoyed her senior years traveling, league bowling, playing golf, volunteering at the hospital, and enjoying time with her loved ones & friends. She delighted in playing games with her family & friends including scrabble, trivial pursuit & charades. Her spare time was filled watching golf, mystery shows, solving crossword puzzles, playing Sudoku & kindle games. She will be remembered for her kind & loving ways and for always preserving the family heritage and keeping the memories of Bill alive for her children & grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Paul A Staley, her 4 children, Leslie Geatches, Melody Hussey, Debra Keiffer(Bruce), & William “Jeff” Geatches (Barbara), 7 grandchildren, Alan, Nick, Ryan, Brittany, Kelly, Kate & Andrew and a great granddaughter, her nieces Lisa & Lori along with other nieces/nephews, & many cousins. She will join her beloved husband William “Bill” Geatches and laid to rest alongside him at the Baltimore National Cemetery on April 27, 2020 where we will say our final goodbyes to our beloved, kind, caring & compassionate Mom/Gigi. A special thanks to Cloverdale AFL/Lutz, FL for their angel caregivers who provided her with love & care the last year of her life.
