Dona Finamore's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dona Lee Finamore, affectionately known as Amto and Auntie D.
Dona was a beloved wife, sister, mother, aunt, and friend who left this world on October 4, 2025, at the young age of 60. Born on June 30, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan, Dona was the cherished daughter of Joseph & Lily Trabulsy. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother Paul, and her nephew RJ.
Dona was a vibrant spirit whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She is survived by her husband Michael, her precious daughter Lily, her beloved sister Teresa, as well as her nephews Chris Bosworth, Steven Bosworth, and their families. All of whom will miss her dearly.
Dona’s educational journey began at North Farmington High School in Michigan, where she laid the groundwork for her future endeavors. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University, followed by a master’s in education from the University of Phoenix. Her passion for learning and teaching shone brightly throughout her career as a counselor and educator. She dedicated her life to shaping young minds as a teacher in elementary and middle schools, making a lasting impact on countless students and their families.
Outside of her professional life, Dona had a particular passion for food and cooking that brought her joy. Friends and family will forever remember her laughter and the warmth of her presence around the dinner table, where she shared not just meals but love.
A celebration of Dona’s life will be held on November 12, 2025, at 12 p.m. at St. Mark’s the Evangelist Catholic Church, located at 9724 Cross Creek Blvd, Tampa, FL 33647 with lunch to follow. Friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the remarkable woman she was. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
