David Winter's Obituary
David L. Winter, 62, a man who called Pittsburgh, Akron, and Port Richey home, passed away suddenly, Monday morning, surrounded by family, after a hard battle with cancer. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Shirley Winter, David was an adoring husband to his wife Dorothy “Annie” Winter, a beloved father to Jonathan Winter, Megan Winter, Tamara Peterson, and Melanie and Josh Phillips, a fantastical “Paz” to grandson, Deegan Phillips, a loving brother to John “Doug” Winter and Rick and Denise Winter, and an all around incredible man in whatever capacity he filled.
David proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and worked for over 30 years at The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Akron, Ohio. There wasn’t a hobby he tried that he didn’t excel at, and there wasn’t a person he met who didn’t instantly admire him.
Family will received friends on Saturday, January 23 from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3 pm at Trinity Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 12609 Memorial Dr., New Port Richey, FL 34655.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL or Boy Scouts of America.
