Bobbi Harris' Obituary
Barbara “Bobbi” Harris, 73, of Trinity, Florida passed away on May 7, 2026, at St. Joseph's Hospital – North, leaving behind a family and community forever changed by the force of her love, her faith, and her presence.
Born on July 2, 1952, in Sandusky, Ohio to Shirley and Earl Albert Sr., Bobbi was a force of nature in the truest sense: the kind of woman who could command a room without trying, who carried entire families on her back without complaint, who somehow made life feel warmer, fuller, louder, and more alive simply because she was in it.
Bobbi graduated from Melbourne High School in 1970 before attending the University of Florida, where she earned her degree in History and proudly played in the Fightin’ Gator Marching Band. History remained one of her lifelong passions, a reflection of her endlessly curious mind. Over the course of a remarkable 40-year career as both a paralegal and teacher, she brought intelligence, humor, compassion, and tenacity into every role she held. She was sharp-witted and deeply empathetic, equally capable of offering hard-earned wisdom or making someone laugh until they cried.
On July 9, 1977, Bobbi married Jerry Harris, the love of her life and her steadfast partner for 48 years. They built a marriage defined not just by love, but by loyalty, faith, resilience, and deep friendship. Their two sons were among her greatest blessings and the heartbeat of her life. She loved them with a fierce, all-consuming devotion that never wavered. Nothing brought her greater pride or joy than being their mother. In her final days, Jerry cared for her with extraordinary tenderness and grace, a reflection of the love they shared for nearly five decades.
Bobbi did not love halfway. She poured herself into everything she touched. Her home was filled with craft projects in progress, scraps of fabric, unfinished puzzles, history books stacked on tables, and music drifting through rooms. She loved cross-stitching, sewing, scrapbooking, decorating, playing the clarinet and organ, and traveling with her family, especially on cruises.
But more than any hobby or accomplishment, Bobbi loved people. With Bobbi, conversations became stories and love became something visible and tangible in her hands. She filled rooms with laughter, creativity, and a kind of warmth that made life feel fuller and brighter. To know Bobbi was to know someone who found joy in caring for others, whether through a handmade gift, a long conversation, or the simple act of making a place feel like home. What people will remember most about her was not simply what she did, but the magnitude with which she lived. Whether teaching Sunday School, comforting a grandchild, or chatting with a nervous child who needed someone kind, Bobbi had a rare gift for making people feel safe, important, and loved.
Her Catholic faith was the foundation beneath everything. Bobbi served as both a Eucharistic Minister and Sunday School teacher, but her greatest ministry was the way she lived: generous with her time, unwavering in her care for others, and guided always by compassion. She believed in showing up for people. And she did, again and again.
Bobbi is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry Harris; her mother, Shirley Albert; two sisters, Donna and Sandra; one brother, Earl Jr.; two sons, Joel and Kelly; and four cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Liam, Emma, and Owen. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Albert Sr.
There are some people whose absence changes the atmosphere of a room forever. Bobbi was one of them. A force of nature does not ever truly disappear. It leaves its imprint on everything it touched. Bobbi’s imprint lives on in her family, in the traditions she created, in the faith she modeled, in the lives she nurtured, and in the countless people who loved her fiercely in return. Though her family’s hearts are broken by this loss, Bobbi leaves behind a life that will continue to echo through everyone she loved. In every carefully made scrapbook, every holiday tradition, every lesson taught, every child comforted, and every life she touched, her presence remains.
