"A Mother holds her children's hands for a moment, but their hearts forever."
I don't know who the author is but this is embroidered on a pillow that I gave my Mom and she left it at my house. It sits on the love seat in my living room and I see it every day. Truer words were never spoken...I love you, Mom. Thank you for being such a great mother!
Your loving daughter forever,
Karen
My GG,
Oh how I miss the sent of your Oil of Olay face cream and that gentle, happy look you had within your eyes. Your smile alone could light up the darkest room. You are the best GG any great grand daughter could ask for. Growing up I loved coming to your house! I'll never forget the hours spent sharing the treadmill on your front porch with my sister Kristy and my two brothers Mike and Nick. Even though we fought for hours lol we eventually all got a turn! When we weren't fighting over the treadmill we spent our time fighting over who was going to be the first to open up the grandfather clock lol. I remember all of us kids thinking that it was just the coolest thing ever that it had a key and we could unlock it...I don't know what I like more, unlocking the grandfather clock or watching G Pooh peel a whole Apple with his pocket knife without stopping one time! I have the blessing of holding these memories along with MANY other wonderful memories, near and dear to my heart until God calls me home 😇
Your strong willed, determined, loving, go get em' kinda spirit lives in me. You were an amazing, caring and patient woman who lived for the people she loved. Which are all traits that will be carried within our family for generations to come. Promise!
My heart and soul is at peace knowing that you are in heaven. Until we meet again.... R.I.P My beloved GG 💜
Your Loving Great Granddaughter,
Cecilia Lee Aponte
My precious "Mother Dear", you came into my life 51 years ago when I married Raymond and you became the only Mother I've ever known. What a huge blessing in my life! The wisdom, understanding, knowledge, comfort, kindness and patience you taught me have served me well and will continue to do so until we see each other again. Your commitment, strength and unconditional love for your family made all of us strong. Thank you my Mother from the bottom of my heart from your "favorite" daughter Barbara! LOL
To My Beloved G.G,
So many wonderful memories to share..one of my favorite memories is always celebrating Christmas at your house, my mom, all my siblings , my grandparents, all my great aunts, on the front porch opening what seemed to be the biggest pile of presents ever!! :) I remember specifically the life size doll that you gifted to me when I was 8 years old I loved her so much . also the money tree you kept in your bedroom and the smell of the spaghetti you cooked for us almost every other weekend. I couldn't have asked for a better person to be my beautiful great-grandmother (even though you hated being called great-grandma, you said it made you sound too old lol so G. G it is lol )..
On our very last visit together you told some of the most inspiring and unforgettable words of wisdom.. I asked you- "grandma do you still pray?" and you replied staring straight into my eyes "of course I do, only you can get yourself into heaven, you have to live righteous, and walk in the name of the lord!" She said " people praying for your soul when you die isn't enough, you have to always live right by the lord." And G.G I promise you I always will!!!!!!!! I love you with all my heart and soul!!!Say hi to my mom for me<3
The kindest, sweetest, most loving, caring gentle person ever. Thank you for being our Mom. Enjoy the spirit world and with God's grace, we will meet again. Until that day, you live in my heart and remain in my prayers. Loving son, Raymond.
The best Mom ever, love you Mom, Bev
