Zenaria Maria Andrade's Obituary
Zenaria Maria Andrade, 75, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024. She was born on July 21, 1948 in Ponte Delgada, Azores, Portugal, to Antonio and Maria Patricio. Zenaria met her future husband Jose Andrade when she was young, just 14, and while he was a few years older and pulled away from her when serving in his country's Army the two were wed in a beautiful ceremony in May of 1969 and very happy to welcome their son Joe only one year later in 1970.
Zenaria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She moved to America with her family shortly after Joe was born and learned English quickly. As a caretaker, Zenaria was a sweet woman who cared deeply for everyone in her charge.
As a mother she was a compassionate person who always looked after her family. She enjoyed cooking, especially her famous octopus stew, and was a talented crafter who could knit, crochet, and sew. She was also a member of a basket weaving group with 20 other women.
Zenaria is survived by her son Joe and daughter-in-law Heather, her grandchildren Jack and Richard, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Jose and her parents Antonio and Maria.
A visitation will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Trinity, Florida, on February 2, 2024 at 1 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. and an entombment.
