Yolande Lambert's Obituary
Yolande Theresa (Paquette) Lambert, 86, passed away peacefully at home in New Port Richey, FL on December 20, 2021. Born on November 23, 1935, in Biddeford, ME, she was the daughter of Gerard and Bertha (Lambert) Paquette. Yolande was affectionately known as Yo to her many friends and family members. On October 27, 1956, she married the love of her life, Joseph Lambert, at St. Margaret Church, Old Orchard Beach, ME. Shortly after, they moved to Harford, CT, where they started their family. In 1959, they relocated to Enfield, CT, raising their family and making a home for over 30 years. Yo was a very loving and compassionate mother who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was involved in many activities, such as girl scouts and teaching CCD along with playing the piano and singing. Her family and friends were very important to her, and she loved spending time with them. She worked for many years at Windsor Hall and then at JM Ney Company. After retiring in 1989, Yo and Joe relocated to New Port Richey, FL, in 1995, where they formed more lasting friendships. They loved to travel with friends and had many exciting trips. Yo always enjoyed a good happy hour, playing bingo and shooting pool. She was a very strong woman, and nothing showed this strength more than her 21-year battle with lung cancer, beating the odds and surviving many years after the diagnosis.
In addition to her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, Joe, Yo is survived by her three children, JoAnne Passeri of Windsor Locks, CT; Patricia Margolfo and her husband, Kevin, of Enfield, CT; and Peter Lambert and his wife, Lisa, of Windsor Locks, CT; six grandchildren, Charles Passeri and his wife Nancy, of East Granby, CT; Victoria (Tori) Morneau, and her husband, Joel, of East Granby, CT; Danielle Helmer and her husband, Perry, of Manlius, NY; Nicholas Margolfo of Enfield, CT; Becki White and her husband, Bobby, of Norwood, MA; and Joshua Lambert and his partner, Derek Wiebke, of Hyde Park, MA; and nine great-grandchildren, whom she adored Vanessa, Natalie and Jayce Passeri; Christian, Nathaniel and Andrew Morneau; Collin and Grant Helmer; and Madison White. She is also survived by her brother Maurice Paquette of Old Orchard Beach, ME, sister-in-law Cecile Paquette of Arundel, ME, brother and sister-in-law Andre and Joanne Lambert of Venice, FL, and sister-in-law Dianne Blaisdell of Englewood, FL along with many extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Marcel (Mike) Paquette, sister-in-law Pamela Paquette and brother-in-law Paul Blaisdell.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, January 17, 2022, starting at 10AM at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Dr., Trinity, FL 34655, with a Mass/Prayer service beginning at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Special Olympics Connecticut, 2666 State Street, Suite 1, Hamden, CT 06517 to further assist the athletes, including her grandson Nicholas, with their programs.
