William S Miller's Obituary
William Stephen Miller, aged 86, of Riverside Village in New Port Richey, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, at the Marliere Hospice House in New Port Richey.
William was born on April 16, 1940, in Chester, a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Stephen Miller and Anastasia Campos Miller. All his family and friends affectionately called him Bill. Bill was the youngest of eight siblings. Bill and his family lived in the Chester area of Philadelphia for most of his younger years. In 1975, he met his future wife Athina Tatatsis. They married on January 8, 1978. In 1979, Bill and Athina moved to Holiday, Florida. He helped her raise her son, Vernon. In 1998, they moved to Riverside Village in Trinity. He loved swimming and being with Athina when they retired. They enjoyed 48 happy years together.
Bill’s primary occupation was in sheet metal trades, mainly heating and air-conditioning. Bill was well known for his many years as a supervisor with United Heating and A/C of Largo, Florida. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Bingo was a favorite pastime, and they made many lasting friendships in the area,
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Athina, a stepson, Vernon Herestofa, and a grandson, Niko. His parents and siblings are all deceased.
The funeral service will be on May 8, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Trinity Memorial Gardens with interment at 1:00 pm in the cemetery grounds. Father Vasilios Yacalis, of St. George Greek Orthodox Church of New Port Richey, Florida will conduct the funeral services.
The family appreciates the great compassionate care he received from his doctors and Countryside Mease Hospital during his illness. His final days were peaceful and quiet with the caring staff at Marliere Hospice House.
