Dr. William Charles Klein's Obituary
Klein M.D., William (Bill), passed away at age 74 on Nov. 9, 2014. He was born in Wisconsin and grew up in Port Washington. He attended Marquette University in Milwaukee and earned a Bachelor and M.D. degrees there. After interning in Los Angeles, CA, he entered a radiology residency at Yale University in New Haven, CT. This was followed by two years in the Air Force and two years on the faculty of the Medical College of Wisconsin. In 1973 he joined the Radiology Group of Sheer, Ahearn and Associates in Tampa, FL, where he served as Chief of Radiology at University Community Hospital for many years. He is predeceased by his son, Matthew, and survived by his wife of 50 years, Virginia; daughter, Ann (Jerry); son, Joseph (Kimberly) and grandchildren, Hannah, Jack, Cammie, Alex, and Emmy. He was a generous, awesome man cherished by his family and loved by all who knew him. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, 715 East Orange St., Tarpon Springs, FL. Inurnment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Dr., Trinity, FL. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Dr. Klein may be made to the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, 550 N. Reo St. Suite 301, Tampa, FL 33609-1037.
