William Frederick Kelm's Obituary
William F. Kelm (Bill) of Trinity, FL, passed away on June 2, 2021, at the age of 69 surrounded by his loved ones.
Survived by his wife Linda, three children, William, Cindy, Melissa, and 8 grandchildren.
Bill was born on April 17 in White Plains, NY, to parents Frederick and Dorthy. He learned his carpentry skills from his father and followed in his footsteps before pursuing his dream of becoming a police officer.
Bill loved his career and was a dedicated K-9 Police Officer for 18 years. During his service, he earned titles including firearms instructor, armorer, and chemical-agent officer for the department. Helping his community and protecting his town brought Bill immense pride and joy. While on duty, he met the love of his life, Linda, and they were happily married for 40 years.
Bill was injured in the line of duty, and he and his family retired to Florida. He loved living in the Sunshine State while raising his family.
In 2009, Bill joined the Tampa Bay Lodge #252 Free and Accepted Masons, an organization that supports its community through volunteer efforts and donations, and earned the title of Worshipful Master.
Bill was a wonderful father, grandfather, and friend. He put family over everything and would do anything for the ones he loved. Those who knew him are truly blessed, and he will be greatly missed.
A memorial will be held on June 12, 2021, at Trinity Memorial Gardens. The wake will be held from noon to 3 p.m., with a funeral service to follow. He is our Hero 💙🖤💙.
