William Groom's Obituary
William (Bill) Roland Groom, age 67, of Oldsmar, Florida, unexpectedly passed away on July 3rd at his residence.
Bill was born in Sandusky, Ohio to William and Margaret Groom on July 14th, 1953. He graduated with his Bachelor’s and MBA degrees from the Ohio State University. He married Judith Groom on October 30th, 1980. He worked as an Account Executive for the Exxon Mobil company and as a Financial Advisor for over 35 years at Merrill Lynch and other financial institutions.
Bill is preceded in death by William F. Groom, Margaret (Groom) Vassallo, Sender Wajsman, Mindelle Wajsman, Peter Groom, and Cameron Baber.
Bill is survived by: wife, Judith Groom, daughter, Shanna Groom Ottenbreit (Jonathan), son, Michael Groom (Alexa), grandchildren, Gavin Ottenbreit and Emory Groom; siblings, Cynthia Baber, Patty Ramsauer (Steve), Mary Beth Groom, Steven Groom, John Felver, uncle, Robert Whetstone and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Larry Wajsman, Ira Wajsman, Steven Groom, Bob Canino, Steve Ryan, Craig Schwartz and Kerry Robson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.
Services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, July 8th at Trinity Memorial Gardens. Burial will follow.
