William Dalton's Obituary
William Stephen Dalton died on May 19, 2017 in New Port Richey, FL, 86. He was predeceased by his father, William T. Dalton, and his mother, Josephine S. Dalton.
Bill had a happy and eventful life, the highlight of which was his marriage of over 60 years to Mary Ann (Gorski). Together they raised four great children: Anne Marie (spouse Dan) of Tucson, AZ, William J. (spouse Kera) and Stephen V. (spouse Heather) of Marblehead, MA, and Michael A. (spouse Mary) of Manchester, MA. These unions produced grandchildren Charlie, Tatiana, Andrew, Alex, Jack and Cooper.
Bill graduated from Boston College High School and Boston College, after which he served as a U.S. Army officer in Korea. Upon his return, he earned an MBA from the Wharton School and embarked on a career in corporate management of almost 30 years. Along the way he founded three small independent companies, as well as being a cofounder of The Enterprise Consulting Group.
Bill enjoyed cars and owned a number of exotic vehicles. He also enjoyed golf, boats and, particularly, sailing. He was a member of the Union Nautique Ouchy-Lausanne (Switzerland), the Chess Sailing Club (England), the Manchester Yacht Club (Massachusetts) and the Hudson Beach Yacht Club (Florida). He was also a member of the Stanmore Golf Club (England), the Plymouth Country Club (Massachusetts) and the Timber Greens Country Club (Florida).
After retirement, Bill volunteered as a management counselor to small businesses with SCORE in New Port Richey and served with Flotilla 11-07 of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Hudson.
