William "Bill" Leonard Engle II's Obituary
William Leonard Engle, age 80, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 25, 2025, at the Baldomero Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home in Land O’ Lakes, Florida.
Born and raised with strong values of service and dedication, Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Forrestal (CV-59) aircraft carrier during the Vietnam War.
He was a devoted husband to his wife, Karen Kay Engle. Together, they lived in Lutz, Florida, and recently celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on May 30, 2025, having been married on Memorial Day in 1994.
Bill is survived by his wife, Karen Kay Engle; sister, Nancy J. Doughty of Southern Pines, North Carolina; brother, George F. Engle of Florida; and nephew, J.A. Mac Hampson of Wilmington, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Engle Shibla.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 10:30am at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Drive in Trinity, Florida.
