Warren H. Walka's Obituary
Warren Henry Walka, 91, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away on March 22, 2025. He was born in 1934 in Bloomington, IL, to Walter and Anna Walka and raised there with his sister Helen. After graduating from Lutheran school, he attended trade school and then began his career in the automobile industry. He moved to Florida in 1961, residing first in Clearwater before settling in New Port Richey. Warren married Miriam Obenschain in 1973, and the couple remained devoted to each other for over 51 years until his passing. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
Warren was a long-term member of the Lutheran Church. He sang in the choir at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Tarpon Springs, FL. In his leisure time he enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and bowling, and he maintained a lifelong interest in antique cars. He loved to travel and took many camping trips all over the United Stated with his family throughout the years.
Warren is survived by his wife Miriam Walka, his sons Krister (Carmen) Curtis and Keith (Michelle) Walka, and his grandson Griffin Curtis. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Anna Zirkel and his sister Helen Marie Gee.
