Victoria Villafranca's Obituary
Victoria Villafranca of New Port Richey, FL and formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on November 7, 2022. She was born to the late Honorio Abadilla and Catalina Abadilla in Tacurong, Totabato, Philippines on March 16, 1946. She is survived by her soul mate and loving husband of 51 years, Eliseo Villafranca, and three devoted children, Leilani Palmer and her husband David, Millicent Oracion and her husband Albert and Vincent Villafranca and his wife Jennifer. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Alex Palmer, Lauren Palmer, Anthony Oracion, Mathias Villafranca, Catalina Villafranca, and Logan Villafranca. She is survived by her siblings Sonia Bungcayao (North Carolina), Remedios Bermudez (California), Medardo Abadilla (Illinois), Dario Abadilla (Philippines), and Jesus “Jessie” Abadilla (Philippines). She was preceded in death by her brother Honorato Abadilla (Illinois) and sister Norma Sumpay (Illinois). Victoria moved to the United States in October 1966 and proudly became a US citizen in Chicago on January 3, 1984. She moved to Florida in August 1985 and had her first hurricane experience within the first week of arrival with Hurricane Elena which resulted in her first evacuation to a shelter at Pasco Hernando Community College. She worked as a Medical Technologist in the laboratory for 46 years and owned and managed a retirement home for several years. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling with friends and family and praying with the Legion of Mary prayer group at St. James Apostle Church. She was devoted to God and her family. She will be remembered for her sweet, gentle, loving nature and unselfish generosity.
The family will celebrate her amazing life on November 22, 2022 at St. Thomas Aquinas and lay her to rest in eternal peace at Trinity Memorial Gardens. The visitation will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on 11/22/22 from 9am-10am. A funeral mass will be held at 11am at St. Thomas Aquinas on 11/22/22 with a burial and reception immediately following.
