Victor Henderson, 80, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away on July 23, 2024. He was born on April 5, 1944, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Victor and Harriett Henderson. He spent his formative years in New Orleans and Raytown, Missouri, before settling in New Port Richey, Florida. After graduating from high school, Victor began his career as a truck driver, which he continued until his retirement. When he was not working, Victor enjoyed shooting pool, crafting with leather, traveling and camping with his wife, kayaking, and spending time with his family. He remained devoted to his wife Jacqueline until her passing in 2019.
Victor's legacy is defined by the indelible mark he left as a great husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Known for his unwavering resolve and no-nonsense approach, Victor was a man of strong principles who didn't shy away from hard work. Once he set his mind to something, it was as good as done. His influence was felt by all who knew him. Victor's strength and dedication were matched by his genuine warmth and the magnetic charisma that drew people to him. Everyone knew him, and it was clear why - his character and work ethic were the bedrock of his relationships and his reputation. Victor was not just a father to his three children, but also a pillar of support and inspiration to all around him. His legacy is one of resilience, love, and a profound impact that will be remembered and cherished by those who had the honor of knowing him.
Victor is survived by his children Mark Henderson, Bryan Henderson, and Gina Arocho; grandchildren Chase, Jacob, Savana, Victoria, Cody, and Luke; and great-grandchildren Dean, Logan, and Eden. He was preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline Henderson, his father Victor Henderson and mother Harriett Hedburg, as well as his mother-in-law Nina Maddy and father-in-law Vern Maddy, whom he considered to be just like parents to him.
