Vera Sampson's Obituary
Vera Kadish Sampson, 84, of Trinity, FL, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the Trinity Regional Rehab Center, Trinity, FL surrounded by family. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her husband of 64 years; Robert J. Sampson Sr of Trinity, FL, three of her four children; Robert J. Sampson Jr (Melissa) of Jupiter, FL, Katherine Sampson Whitney of Lutz, FL, Christopher S. Sampson (Lisa) of North Bend, WA, grandchildren; Jenna Whitney, Vanessa Whitney, Christiana Sampson, Kaelynn Sampson, Annelise Sampson, Ashley Lesniak, Jessica Morrisette, Brandon Sampson. She was predeceased by her son James P. Sampson (2/26/14), she is also survived by nieces, a nephew, and great grandchildren.
Vera was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, on December 26, 1939. She lived in Newington, CT for almost 60 years, and part time in Trinity, FL for almost 20 years. She worked as a postal clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in Hartford, CT, for 30 years. Vera was passionate about her family, especially being a mother and grandmother, and her beloved dogs. Vera grew up in foster care, and as an adult became a foster parent herself, who cared for many children, as well as her own, in her own home. The family would like to send a
sincere thank you to the staff at Trinity Regional Rehab Center for the compassion and care Vera received during her two-year stay.
A service for Vera will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Dr., Trinity, FL 34655 on Monday 1/15/24 at 10am, with a burial at 12pm.
A celebration of Veras’s life will be held in Newington, CT, at a later date (to be announced) for her relatives and friends in CT.
