Tsilya G. Shusterman's Obituary
Tsilya Shusterman, a wife, mother, grandmother and a great-grandmother, died on July 31, 2022, at the age of 88.
Tsilya is survived by her husband of 66 years Leonid Shusterman, her children, daughter Diana Sheldon and her husband Boris Sholom, and her son Gary Shusterman and his wife Noel; her granddaughters, Inessa and her husband Orlando Montes, Michele Sheldon, Gabriella Shusterman and Bianca Montes; her grandson Evan Shusterman and her great-grandson Logan Montes, her younger sister, Rosa and husband Vladimir, and their daughter, Tatyana and husband Willie, and their children, Khana and Gregory, named after Tsilya’s parents, and son, Nathan. Tsilya was preceded in death by her brother Syoma London and his wife Ella, and their son Dmitry.
Tsilya was born in Belaya Tzerkov, Ukraine on December 29, 1931, to Gregory and Khana London. On October 22, 1956, she married Leonid. On October 2, 1957, and March 27, 1963, respectively, she welcomed her daughter and her son.
Tsilya was a devoted mother, grandmother and a great grandmother and an avid chef to her whole family and many friends, who visited her house daily. While working as a chef in a local Jewish community center in Brooklyn, New York, she won the hearts of all center members with her culinary skills and her devotion to each and everyone’s of their dietary needs. She enjoyed throwing frequent parties and gained great pleasure from watching everyone enjoy her cooking. She loved to dance, sing, travel around the world and be always surrounded by her family and friends.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her and whose hearts she so deeply touched.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 am On August 9 at the Trinity Memorial Gardens located at 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, FL 34655.
