Dad, Mom, me, and my two cousins from New England. Like a big dummy, I lost my cousin's phone number.

The last time I phoned my dad was April 7, 2026, and he could not hear me on his phone. As far as I could tell, he was sitting on the couch, relaxing. When I phoned him, he got up and walked over to Jewell.
She asked who was on the phone, and my dad said it was his son ( me ). He said he could not hear me on his phone and asked Jewell to give me her phone number. The next thing I heard was the phone hitting the phone, and the call dropped. I tried to call, but the phone was turned off. I tried the next day, and the phone was still shut off. I did not know he was in hospice care, and I did not find out till April 9, 2026, that my dad had passed away.
This was the very last Memory of my dad. And it really hurts knowing that my dad is no longer there to talk to.
