Thomas Edward Martin's Obituary
Thomas Edward Martin, a tradesman and union member of Local 387 in Youngstown, Ohio, died peacefully at his home in New Port Richey, FL with his family by his side on Sunday, September 24th.
Tom is survived by his wife Judy (Maga), his three children, sons Tom (Angel) Martin and Larry (Tamara) Martin and daughter Laurie Martin. He also has five loving grandchildren; Tommy, John, Ryan, Kara and Matt.
Tom was born on April 29, 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Thomas and Mary (Parker) Martin. He graduated from East High School and then continued on to complete a five year trade apprenticeship. He was a proud, hardworking union man for over 60 years. On January 25, 1964, he married his loving wife Judy at St. Casimir Church in Youngstown, Ohio.
Tom moved to Florida in 2001 to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed golfing and socializing in the sunshine state along with going out to eat at local restaurants. He looked forward to his annual trips back to Youngstown, to see family and long-time friends while enjoying all his favorite foods. Tom enjoyed history and collecting, especially anything to do with WWII. Everyone will miss his jokes and stories reminiscing about the good ‘ole’ days.
