Thomas Michel Chyle's Obituary
Thomas Michel Chyle, a retired postal clerk, and resident of Tampa, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on May 22, 2024, at the age of 81.
He was a devoted Husband, Father, Papa and friend. Tom is survived by his wife, Judy M. Chyle (nee Butler); his daughters Shannon Childress (Scott) and Kimberly Goldberg (Daniel), Grand-daughters Tessa Childress, Hannah Goldberg and Leah Goldberg; Brother John R. Chyle, Jr. (AZ) and Sisters JoAnn Wixo (CO), Celeste Bruton (FL) and Julie Rushton (MN); and countless nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents John R. Chyle, Sr. and Henrietta Chyle (nee Hodny) and in-laws, Herman Butler and Mary Jewell Butler (nee Dunn).
Tom was born in Park River, North Dakota on December 25, 1942, where he grew up farming, raising horses and dancing, especially the polka. After graduating from high school he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy. He met the love of his life, Judy, and they married in 1965. He worked for Gulf Oil and then 30+ years at the United States Postal Service. He loved reading and watching westerns, fishing, boating and watching his granddaughters grow. He and Judy traveled the country and were active participants in their family’s activities.

Services will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, Florida, 34655 on Friday, May 31, 2024. Visitation will start at 10:00 am, with services at 11:00 am. Viewing will be available online.
Lunch will follow at the Goldberg’s
