Theresa Mary Peshek, a beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, departed this world peacefully on March 16, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on November 27, 1936, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Theresa was the daughter of the late Charles and Lena Rau. Her life was a testament to love, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.
Theresa was the loving and devoted wife of Donald Richard Peshek, with whom she shared 67 beautiful years of marriage. Their journey together began on August 30, 1958, and was filled with laughter, adventures, and an unbreakable bond. Together, they built a life rich in love and memories, raising a wonderful family that continues to carry her legacy forward.
A proud graduate of Millvale High School, Theresa embraced her role as a homemaker with grace and joy, creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. Her love and care were the foundation upon which her family flourished. Theresa’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she found great joy in being a grandmother to 15 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren. Her love knew no bounds, and her family was the center of her world.
Theresa's life was marked by her vibrant spirit and zest for life. She was a member of the Red Hatters, where she formed lasting friendships and shared many joyful moments. She loved dancing and could often be found twirling across the dance floor with a gleam in her eye. The beach was her sanctuary, a place where she found peace and happiness. Whether playing cards with friends or spending time with her family, Theresa brought warmth and laughter to every occasion.
Theresa is survived by her devoted husband, Donald, her loving daughter, Terry Lyons, and her sons, Donald (Skip) Peshek, Joseph Peshek, and Timothy Peshek. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Lena Rau, and her grandson, Sean Peshek. Though they have left this world, their memory remains a source of comfort and strength for those who knew and loved them.
A celebration of Theresa’s life will take place on March 23, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, located at 12747 Interlaken Rd, Trinity, FL 34655. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the remarkable life of a woman who touched so many hearts.
