Susan Singleton-Slaten's Obituary
Susan Singleton-Slaten, 65, passed away on August 29, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Sue was born on March 22nd 1958 to Elizabeth and Charles Yerger in Pottstown, PA. After graduating from Robinson High School in Tampa, she married Denis Singleton and moved abroad to London, England.
Sue and Denis went on to have two children, Dewey and Alana. After celebrating more than 25 years of marriage - Denis passed away. Sue continued to prioritize her children and after several years she met the second love of her life, Dan Slaten.
Sue and Dan married in 2011 on a beach in Mexico. They continued the party, in true Sue fashion, with a second reception in Florida. Following their marriage Sue and Dan have been blessed to welcome 4 grandchildren - who they both spoil tirelessly.
Sue’s favorite passions were first and foremost her family, followed by travel, crafting and spending time on sunny beaches.
Sue was preceded in death by parents Charles and Elizabeth Yerger, first husband Denis Singleton, and Sister Deborah Leath. She is survived by second husband Dan Slaten, son Dewey Singleton with Daughter In Law Tara, daughter Alana with Son In Law Peter, and grandchildren Rome, Charles, Siena and Henry.
Celebration of Life Open House will be held at 5595 Angelonia Terrace Land O Lakes, FL 34639 on September 3rd 2023 from 1-4p. Those in attendance please wear pink for Sue’s favorite color.
