Sudershan Sabharwal's Obituary
We celebrate the life of Sudershan Kumar Sabharwal, who passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025.
Sudershan was a devoted husband to his wife, Santosh, and a fiercely loving father to his children, Sarat and Nancy. He was a selfless older brother to his siblings and a caring grandfather to his five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Born and primarily raised in Punjab, Sudershan studied to be a civil drafter and worked with the Punjab Civil Department. He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1980 in pursuit of a better life for his family. He continued his career in the United States with the Department of Transportation in State of Iowa until his retirement in the mid-1990s. Sudershan spent the latter years of his life in Florida and was an attentive father and grandfather till his final days. We come together to remember the life he lived, the love he shared, and the countless wonderful memories he left behind for those who knew him.
On August 13, he is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Santosh Sabharwal; his son, Sarat & Anita Sabharwal; his daughter, Nancy & Vinay Mehindru; his grandson, Deepak & Anuja Sabharwal and great-grandson, Saagar Sabharwal; his grandson, Ankur & Richa Mehindru; his grandson, Anuj Mehindru; his grandson, Sahil & Radhika Sabharwal, and his granddaughter, Sajel Mehindru.
Sudershan is dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.
