Stephen Kuzmiak's Obituary
Stephen Kuzmiak, a devoted husband, loving father, and kind-hearted soul, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on Christmas Day in 1934 in Conemaugh, Pennsylvania, Stephen lived a life marked by faith, family, and compassion.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, John and Mary Kuzmiak, and his cherished sisters Mary, Margaret, Kay, Martha, Maggie, and Julia.
Stephen is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joann Kuzmiak, whose unwavering partnership was the cornerstone of his life. He also leaves behind his two daughters—Ann Geisel and Barbara Kuzmiak—who carry forward his legacy of love, strength, and generosity.
Stephen is also survived by his brother, George Kuzmiak, who recently celebrated his 98th birthday; his beloved granddaughter, Jennifer Tigue; his great-grandson, Tyler Wright; and his beloved son, Milton Tigue Jr. He is fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by his warmth and wisdom.
A lifelong bass fisherman and devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Stephen found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a man of deep faith, a follower of Jesus Christ, and a proud adherent to his Orthodox Christian traditions. His spirituality was not only a personal compass but also a guiding light for those around him.
Stephen will be remembered as a good father, a loving husband, and a very kind man whose warmth and humility touched everyone he met. His life was a testament to the values of service, kindness, and unwavering faith.
In honor of Stephen’s enduring spirit and commitment to helping others, the family is establishing a foundation in his name. This foundation will continue his good work by supporting those most in need, ensuring that his legacy of compassion lives on.
A memorial service to celebrate Stephen’s life will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
