Stacy Smith's Obituary
Stacy Whitehead Smith passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children on September 8, 2023, in Brooksville, Florida. Stacy was born in Ogden, Utah on April 24, 1953. Stacy graduated from Highland High School in 1971. He worked in the Kennecott Copper Mine in Bingham, Utah. He went back to school in the mid 1980’s and started working in the field of Telecommunications. He moved up in this field and became a Project Manager managing a data center for AT&T. In 1975 he married the love of his life, Susan Fudge. Together they had three children. Stacy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved serving others in his church and in his family. He loved home teaching and was often called “the best home teacher” by those he served. Stacy’s job moved him and his family to several places, including Salt Lake City, Utah, Las Vegas, NV, Seattle, WA and Tampa, Florida. Stacy retired in 2017 and recently moved to Spring Hill, Florida. Stacy was able to spend his retirement surrounded by his beautiful wife and his children. Stacy was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He lived a very full life and was able to do many things in his life. Stacy is survived by his wife, Susan Fudge, children, Heather (David Cox), Tiffany (Mudu Tuinakauvadra) and Sean (Mariangela) Smith, 7 grandchildren and his beloved dog, Benji. Stacy was preceded in death by his parents, Cliff and Frances Smith. A celebration of life was held on September 15, 2023.
