Lakshmi Kolla
It’s hard to put into words the pain of losing my dear friend, Sridevi garu. We were friends for over 24 years, and she was truly like family to me.
Sridevi garu was one of the kindest, warmest people I’ve ever known. She had this rare gift of remembering and wishing everyone on their birthdays and anniversaries, no matter how far or busy life got.
I wanted to share how beautifully our lives were connected. Her wedding day was the same as my parents and Nandu’s birthday falls on the same day as my elder brother’s. I used to tease her about not having a second child, and she would always laugh and say, “Just because I don’t want a devil like you!” That was our bond full of love, teasing, and genuine friendship.
Her last message to me was Landed in Dallas. I never imagined that would be the last time I’d hear from her.
Sridevi garu you have left behind a space no one else can fill . Rest in peace, Sridevi garu. You will always be remembered with love.
Dev garu, Nandu, and Sahiti — please know that we are here for you, always, in whatever way you need.
